broker, who started developing Queens Lake Subdivision in 1954. Their
new company was Benschoten & Carter Inc, which specialized in
insurance and real estate.
Jim
handled the development of Queens Lake and the sale of the lots until
1985 when all of the lots were sold.
Jim
then started Longhill Gate Subdivision on Longhill Road. 71 duplex or
142 townhouse units were built. Approximately 75 of the units were
constructed by Jim and his son Jay Carter. Benschoten and Carter Real
Estate Inc. handled the sales of approximately two thirds of the homes.
